Bula to all our Website visitors well the weather has not been too favorable in Fiji and for the last two weeks friends and family especially in the west have been worst affected by the floods, thanks to organizations and government, food supplies have been frequent at evacuation centers. Vinaka na loloma!!! any way all good today on the weather front( Tuesday 7th Feb) weather experts say it will be a fine day, BUT brace yourselves we have another rainy day tomorrow till Friday, hopefully we are all in the clear next week.

Chicken Sounds

Making chicken sounds from a cup.You will need: A plastic drinking cup
* Yarn or cotton string (nylon string will not work well)
* 1 paper clip
* Paper towel
* A nail
* Scissors
* Water
1.What to do: Cut a piece of cotton string about (40 cm) long.
2.Ask an adult to use the nail to carefully punch a hold in the center of the bottom of the cup.
3.Tie one end of the yarn to the middle of the paper clip. So when your holding the paper cup upside down the paper clip is laying flat across the bottom of the cup.
4.Push the other end of the yarn through the hole in the cup and pull it through.
5.Get a piece of paper towel about the size of asaqamoli, then fold it once and get it damp in the water.
6.Now it’s time to make some noise! Hold the cup firmly in one hand, and wrap the damp paper towel around the string near the cup. While you squeeze the string, pull down in short jerks so that the paper towel tightly slides along the string. If all goes well – you hear a chicken.

Oh wow the hospital visit at the Lautoka children’s ward was a heart-moving one and very touching. A lot of children loved the gifts, you could tell on their tiny adorable faces, thanks to W&G, Value City and Westpac for their kind donation, check out the photos…..in our photo album…

Hospital Visit!!

Hi, Mix fm staff will be visiting the Lautoka Childrens ward on the 16th of December to distribute gifts to our kids who are not able to spend Christmas at home due to being ill. Mix fm started this last year and continues this year with the giving of presents. Mix Fm could not have done this without the help of:
