Daylight Saving Is Back!!!
Daylight saving starts in Fiji
Prepare to advance your clocks one hour ahead of the standard time, because Fiji’s daylight saving period is about to start from October 23.
Minister for Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment, Mr Filipe Bole made the Daylight Saving Order saying this initiative in Fiji has benefitted both the private and public sector over the years.
“People of Fiji are urged to take full advantage of the daylight saving period time because this allows more quality time for recreation and to be with family, while also increasing overall economic activity, work and agricultural productivity,” Mr Bole said.
Members of the public are reminded to change their time to one hour in advance at 2am to 3am on October 23, 2011 and one hour back at 3am to 2am on February 26 next year.Thanks to the Ministry of Information for this piece of news ,and hey would be fun to see just how many people will get to work early on the 26th …lol have fun people.

10 time Grammy nominated band, One of the longest running Reggae bands, the group was formed in 1973 and has since released a total of 23 albums as well as solo projects from Lead Singer Bunny Rugs and Guitarist Stephen Cat Coore. They have received numerous awards, including most recent New York City Ambassador Award in November 2009 at Brooklyn Academy of Music (“BAM”), the 1986 “United Nations Peace Medal,” 1992 and 1996 Jamaica Music Industry Awards for Best Show Band. International hit singles include: the cover version of Gamble & Huff’s, “Now That We’ve Found Love,” “96 Degrees in the Shade,” “Cool Meditation,” “Dancing on the Floor,” “Try Jah Love,” written by Stevie Wonder, “Sense of Purpose,” “Forbidden Love,” “Reggae Ambassador,” “Committed,” and “Reggae Party.” Additionally, the group has worked and collaborated with top acts such as the Jackson Five, Bob Marley and The Wailers and Stevie Wonder.
